We are excited to announce we have a new scholarship opportunity this year! This $1,000 scholarship is for individuals who are already out of high school and are either attending a college/trade school or looking to further their education and/or begin a new career. Now accepting applications.
Part of planning for life after high school is evaluating all the options available to you. One of those options is to pursue a skilled trade. Working in a trade career can offer lucrative pay, job stability, and overall good quality of life.

The Rat Rod Round-Up Trade Career Scholarship Program benefits Douglas County high school graduates who are choosing to pursue a trade after graduation. This scholarship may be used for tuition, tools, or any other financial need to get started.
Emma Camp, a graduate of South Umpqua High School, plans on attending OSU and major in both forest and civil engineering. Her long term goal is to either work for the Oregon Department of Transportation or the Forest Service. She feels either role represents a chance to contribute to our state’s environment and development, which she is passionate about.
Jenessa Lobo, a Roseburg High School graduate, is chasing her dream of becoming a Farrier. She has always loved working outdoors and with animals. She would like to learn more about welding and plans on attending farrier school.
Madison Wagner, a Sutherlin High School Senior, is pursuing a career as an Electrician after graduation. She plans to provide high quality work and make an impact to others by providing homes and businesses with safe and efficient power. She’s anticipating an electrician apprenticeship this fall.
