Applications for our 2026 Scholarship Program are now available. This opportunity is for high school seniors and those who are in the process of completing their GED, who plan on pursuing a trade career after graduation. This year we have one $1,500 and two $1,000 scholarships to award.
This $1,000 scholarship is for individuals who are already out of high school and are either attending a college/trade school or looking to further their education and/or begin a new career. Now accepting applications.
Part of planning for life after high school is evaluating all the options available to you. One of those options is to pursue a skilled trade. Working in a trade career can offer lucrative pay, job stability, and overall good quality of life.

The Rat Rod Round-Up Trade Career Scholarship Program benefits Douglas County high school graduates who are choosing to pursue a trade after graduation. This scholarship may be used for tuition, tools, or any other financial need to get started.


Our 2025 $1,500 scholarship recipient is Landen Whited from Sutherlin High School. He is pursuing a career as a pilot and his goal is to became an airline captain.

Addison Meier of Oakland High School was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. She is pursuing a career in cosmetology and her goal is to open her own salon.

Emilja Singleton of Sutherlin High School was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. She is pursuing a career in both welding and truck driving.

This was our first year awarding a $1,000 scholarship extended to anyone already out of high school. We were pleased to present this award to Belinda Workman, a busy mama of 2 little boys, who is pursuing her dream of becoming a professional tattoo artist.

Emma Camp, one of our 2024 scholarship recipients, was awarded $500 to purchase tools needed for her second year in college, working towards a degree in the forestry industry.
